Pholiota squarrosa

This is a group of Pholiota squarrosa found in autumn 2004 in Worcestershire (Chateau Impney). The tree is a lime.
This year I have heard that conditions are right for fungi. I've been on a couple of forays already and got some good photos. I'll upload some of them soon. I'm still waiting for a really good trip, though. I haven't yet been impressed with this autumn's fungi crop.
